Going for job interview today for driving job, delivery/collection driver.?
Why you want the job?

You enjoy being out on the road in all kinds of weather

Not an 'indoor' type of person

Like meeting people from all sorts of life

Like driving

Questions to ask:

What delivery area are you covering?

On an average day, how many drop-offs/collections?

Any opportunities for overtime?

Do you get a uniform?

Do you have to return to depot after last delivery/collection?

What's the earliest start-time likely to be?

What back-up do they provide if there was a problem with the van, ie are they with a national 'rescue' company to come and collect you?

The very best of luck today - give it your best shot.

Good luck
Reply:i dont know enough about you to suggest things to say but if you react to their questions and be inquisitive about the job, youll do well
Reply:You like working on your own initiative and the responsibility that brings with it,you like being out and about and not stuck in the same place, Rates of pay, overtime, pension, job prospects.
Reply:The two main factors to consider are:

"Why do I want this job?"

e.g. I enjoy driving, I enjoy meeting different people etc

and

"Why would I be good at it?"

I am a competent driver (clean licence?), I enjoy meeting different people, I am patient and courteous, I am able to work on my own using my own initiative, I have a lot of patience (Ideally back these claims up with reference to previous work/situations).

Questions to ask.... you don't have to ask any if you don't feel the need to, so don't force yourself. One option is to ask the panel/interviewer which aspect of their business they consider to be strongest, and which area they feel most needs to be developed. (It's basically throwing the strength/weaknesses question back at them, but showing you have an interest in the business too.)

Concentrate on the above questions and you should be OK.

Good luck!
