Pizza Delivery Job?

Has anybody delivered pizzas? Would you recommend it?
Pizza Delivery Job?
It's okay, it depends on where you live. People are scrooges when it comes to tipping. They don't care that you got stuck in traffic to get them THEIR food because they just weren't up to taking a trip into town. Then they complain if their food is cold, or make you come all the way back because they didn't get pizza sauce for their bread sticks and their kids won't eat ranch, and they blame you even though it's the people in the restaurant that are suppose to have all of those things taken care of so that it's all ready for you when you get back so you can just grab them and go.They make you drive those delivery geos in the rain, hail, sleet and snow, and then tip you 50 cents (if you're lucky) I'd rather be a waitress.

I don't know, I preferred working in the restaurant, opposed to outside of it, but it's a matter of opinion.
Reply:It's a good job if you're looking for supplemental income, but because one week you could make 250 bucks for working five days and the next week you could make 100 - it's not a very good job to have as your base income unless you're someone who doesn't have to have a steady income every week or unless like I said it's not your main source of income.

I work in a pizza place and all of our drivers either deliver pizzas as their second job, to supplement retirement funds or just to make extra money while they are in college.

All restaurants will vary as far as the pay - some pay an hourly rate, some charge delivery fees which you get to keep, some will even provide you with a vehicle for deliveries and pay your gas mileage or some will pay you for gas if you're using your own vehicle. But every restaurant will let you keep all of your tips.

If you have a decent vehicle, don't mind lots of driving in all sorts of weather conditions and can handle getting stiffed by customers at least once a day and think that you can handle the occasional cranky customer then it can be a decent job.

Another bonus - it is nice to have cash every day(just make sure you don't blow it all!).
